About Sabah

Sabah is blessed with abundant natural beauty and is home to the majestic Mt. Kinabalu. The Kinabalu Park was the first location in Malaysia to be named as a World Heritage Site.

Situated on the beautiful island of Borneo, Sabah is one of thirteen states which make up Malaysia. Sabah is the second largest state, and shares the island of Borneo with Sarawak, Brunei, and the Indonesian state of Kalimantan.

An ideal destination for the traveller with a few weeks to holiday, Sabah is richly blessed with natural diversity, unique cultures, fun adventure, beautiful beaches, and fantastic cuisines for those with adventurous taste buds.

Me and my family have recently returned from a trip to Malaysia. We ventured to Borneo and stayed in KK. We had no preplans in regards to sightseeing, tours but we managed to find a place called Borneo Anchor tours. I asked if we could do orangutans, proboscis monkeys, Mount Kinabalu and they were very willing to help. They arranged a private tour (just my family) for 3 days straight (pick up and drop off from our hotel) with a fantastic local tour guide.

He seemed to know everyone and as a result we had a fantastic time as we saw things that not many people would experience (he arranged a private boat on the wetlands and it gave me ample opportunity to stop and take photos of the elusive proboscis monkeys). He gave us a lot of info on KK and Borneo. All I can say is I highly recommend this place if you are looking for adventure and want to see Sabah. I hope someone else can experience what we have.
